Account Executive- Public Relations

Job Description 

Randle Communications, Sacramento’s top ranked public relations firm, is seeking a high-performing, passionate communications professional to support its marque client accounts. The new Account Executive (AE) will support the day-to-day planning and execution of communications for major brands and premier statewide organizations. The AE will have the opportunity to collaborate with the firm’s senior leaders to support a dynamic portfolio of communications activities, including strategic communications, earned media, content production, as well as integrating with digital, creative and video production experts to support client storytelling. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, team-first environment. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development of proposed media strategies 
  • Successfully execute media relations in markets across California 
  • Cultivate innovative storytelling angles 
  • Collaborate with Randle’s internal creative practice to generate breakthrough content  
  • Support client relationships through ongoing communications 
  • Produce written and digital content to fuel diverse communications channels
  • Manage project details and ensure timeliness of client deliverables 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field
  • 2-3 years of public relations, journalism or communications experience
  • Strong media relations experience, including writing and copy editing under tight deadlines and with complex subject matter
  • Social and digital media plan 
  • Strong project manager 
  • Highly motivated self-starter

  • Strong verbal communications skills

Senior Account Executive- Public Affairs

Job Description

Sacramento’s top-ranked public relations and public affairs firm, and a twice nationally-recognized Best Place to Work, is seeking a passionate public affairs professional to join its growing team, lead dynamic client accounts and contribute to communications that are shaping the future of California. 

This team member will collaborate with firm leaders to craft and executing issues-based campaigns and strategic communications projects to support some of California’s leading organizations. 

The ideal candidate is a motivated leader with at least four years of professional experience in relevant legislative, campaign or corporate communications. Must have strong project management skills and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced office culture. Health care experience is a plus. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and support team execution of strategic and tactical recommendations to achieve client objectives 
  • Produce and customize compelling content for different audiences
  • Manage projects and ensure firm’s quality standards are met
  • Write, edit and manage the development of content across platforms to educate key audiences on complex topics including regulatory and policy issues
  • Coordinate the development, tracking and reporting of digital public affairs and social media content

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Political Science, Public Relations, Communications or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years full-time work experience in strategic communications, public affairs, campaign or legislative programs
  • Strong writing and editing skills required, with experience tailoring messages for legislative and stakeholder audiences through digital and traditional mediums.

Qualified applicants are motivated, eager to learn and have strong written and verbal communication skills; experience in public relations, legislative affairs, social media or politics is preferred but not required.
