Margeaux Cardona joined Randle Communications in 2008 and has risen through the ranks over the last decade to become the firm’s managing director. In this role, Cardona leads the firm’s public relations practice and supports with the firm’s critical day-to-day operations to meet business objectives, develop and lead new client projects and manage and cultivate staff. She oversees the firm’s planning and execution of high-quality communications programs for Randle public relations clients, including Golden 1 Credit Union, Golden State Water Company and CalPERS.
Cardona has been part of some of the most exciting announcements in recent Sacramento history. She supported strategy development and execution of the historic Golden 1 Center naming rights announcement (2015), Golden 1 Center opening (2016) and Sacramento Soccer and Entertainment Holdings work to bring Major League Soccer to Sacramento (2017). She’s also led national communications programs in the K-12 and higher education space for former Randle clients University of Phoenix and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishers.
In addition, Cardona helped build the firm’s utility communications practice with Randle regulated water and electricity provider clients Golden State Water Company, Liberty Utilities Co. and Bear Valley Electric Service. She helps lead content strategy to advance customer and community leader communications and has managed several public health crises, including round the clock communications support during an unprecedented two-week methane gas leak in Los Angeles County. Cardona works with company leaders to tell their story, engage customers in educational outreach and integrate digital channels to reach a broader audience.
With strong experience managing national, state and local corporate public relations clients, Cardona holds a strong strategic understanding of the social, business and political environments that impact public opinion and client. Among many traditional public relations areas, Cardona enjoys becoming an “expert” in her clients’ respective industries and specializes in content strategy, executive communications, thought leadership, media training, crisis communications and special events.
Born and raised in Salinas, California, Cardona enjoys life in Sacramento with her husband, Ronnie, daughter, Isabella, and long-hair dachshund, Sammy. As parents to an active toddler, the Cardonas can be found in their free time at many of the beautiful family-friendly parks, pools and activities across the Sacramento region.
