Director of Strategic Alliances and Partnerships

Ana Helman joined Randle Communications in 2008 and has more than two decades of experience as a media and community liaison in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. In her role as director, she leads the firm’s coalition-building efforts, manages client accounts and provides strategic counsel on various projects.

She played an integral role in securing community support and media coverage of Senator Jackie Speier’s (D-Hillsborough) legislative effort to educate children about the perils of anabolic steroids. She also led the community and legislative outreach efforts for the California HealthCare Foundation’s (CHCF) groundbreaking consumer website and outreach campaign, California Nursing Home Search.

Before joining the private sector, Helman’s work in the public sector included serving as Governor Wilson’s assistant appointments secretary for boards and commissions related to Food and Agriculture and Health and Welfare. Prior to joining the Wilson Administration, she served as a California state assembly fellow.

Helman graduated from the University of San Francisco cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism. A fifth-generation Californian, she lives in Sacramento with her family.
